As a site manager at Skilpod, you will be a crucial link in our mission to revolutionise the construction industry. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading construction projects on site. You will work closely with our production team and be the point of contact for customers and subcontractors.
what are your tasks?
- Maintaining contact with private customers: you will be responsible for structured and effective communication with private customers (answering questions, providing updates, solving problems,...).
- Drawing up (daily) schedules for finishing Skilpod homes.
- Supporting workers and subcontractors on site: you provide technical and practical support to workers and subcontractors on site, helping to solve problems and ensuring they can carry out their work smoothly.
- Checking works carried out: you will check the quality and progress of the works carried out to ensure they meet the set standards and specifications.
- Reporting to the project manager: you keep the project manager informed of the progress of various works through regular reports in which you discuss the status of work.
- Process improvement: you collaborate in improving processes with the aim of speeding up completion and increasing quality, by identifying inefficiencies and coming up with solutions, among other things.
- Ensuring a safe working environment: you ensure that both in-house workers and subcontractors can work in a safe environment by drawing up and enforcing safety guidelines.
who is our ideal candidate?
- Construction engineering knowledge and understanding: you have a sound basic knowledge of general construction principles and a strong construction engineering understanding.
- Accurate planning and estimation: you have the ability to accurately sense the work to be carried out and correctly estimate the time and materials required with the aim of ensuring smooth and complete completion.
- Team building and leadership: you can form and motivate a strong cohesive group of workers and subcontractors, you can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills: you are able to predict possible obstacles and proactively tackle problems.
- Financial skills and 3D planning: although not essential, financial skills such as price negotiation are a plus. In addition, experience navigating 3D plans is also advantageous.
- Flexible working attitude: you do not have a 9-to-5 mentality and are willing to work flexibly when necessary to successfully complete projects.
- Relevant experience as a site manager in the construction industry is necessary.
